Digg'in Outdoor Ed.

By Kyle McKenzie
19 Dec

The grade 7 & 8 Outdoor Ed. classes spent some time digging their way out of “sticky” situations. With all the snow that has piled up around school over the last few weeks, it was decided that something fun needed to come of it. With Mr. Mac’s Jeep as the prime demo, students spent time looking and learning about Drive Shafts, 4 Wheel Drive, Skid Plates and Sway-bar Disconnects. After that, they got a firsthand look at how those items help propel a Jeep up and over large mounds of snow. The classes had a great time watching the Jeep make it over some piles… and not so much over others. When the Jeep was in deep, the class banded together and worked as a team to dig it out. In the end, the Jeep scored 10… snow piles 3.
